The Cool Springs Grenades |
Grenade Brigade
What the Grenades mean
to the BDFL
by Keith Jackson
FOXBORO -
Whoa Nelly! Like the Green Bay Packers are to the National Football
League (NFL), the Green Springs Grenades are to the Big Daddy Football
League (BDFL). As the cornerstone franchise of the BDFL, the Grenades
existed even before the BDFL was formed. This is a little known fact
since the Hand Grenades competed in the McDuffie Bull Sheet League (MBSL)in
1993 and 1994 before branching off to form the eight team BDFL in 1995.
Like Curly Lambeau was to the Packers, Iron Hand has been the guiding
force behind the Grenades in forming, developing and directing the
organization into the premier franchise in the league. The Grenades gave
the BDFL instant credibility in 1995 when they came over to form the
league and have always been the model franchise of the BDFL and we don't see this ever changing. The
Grenades and the BDFL, two class acts.
