PELHAM - The Blades have hired Billy Bob Thornton as their new coach replacing Rick Rhodes.
The Pelham Blades took Oregon's mystery wide receiver Demetrius Williams/BAL as the last player in the first 2006 Rolling Rock Pony Draft

Better late than never, the Pelham Blades draft Demetrius Williams as the last Pony picked
FOXBORO - The Pelham Blades got in late on the 2006 BDFL Rolling Rock Pony Draft and may have come up with the biggest gem in the mine with Oregon receiver Demetrius Williams. The sleek (6'2" 205 lbs.) fleet Williams could be as good, or better as the last impact receiver to come out of Oregon, the All-BDFL's Chad Johnson. Another great receiver, Ex-Bama legend Ozzie Newsome, selected Williams as the 4th round pick for the receiver-poor Baltimore Ravens, so Williams will have an excellent chance to get some QPT (Quality Playing Time) for the Blades in the 2006 season.
